I’m in the middle of a bit of a revival.
It started in January, leaving a relationship that no longer fit the path my life was taking, struggling with my relationship with my faith and finally stepping into myself fully, without holding anything back.
Now, there’s one saying that’s taken me through a good portion of this season, and it’s this:
When you ask God for patience, He never gives it to you directly. BUT, He will give you opportunities to practice patience. Even if you’re not ready for them.
In the last ten months, I’ve ended a four year relationship, fallen in love, travelled to a new city, revitalized a business, had my heart broken and healed, rebuilt a stronger relationship with my faith and traditional values, AND decided to move. Twice.
Now, if that’s not a lot - I don’t know what is.
If you’re wondering how I’ve kept my head on straight through everything, here’s the honest answer:
It wasn’t simple, it wasn’t linear, and it CERTAINLY wasn’t easy.
